KaBOOM Coming To DVD May 31

The latest masterpiece from iconoclastic gay indie filmmaker Gregg Araki (The Living End, The Doom Generation, Totally F***ed Up, Mysterious Skin) Kaboom is a hyper-stylized "Twin Peaks" for the Coachella Generation, featuring a gorgeous young cast.

A wild, witty and sex-drenched horror/comedy/thriller, Kaboom tells the story of Smith (Thomas Dekker), an 18-year-old living the life of a college freshman, lusting after his appropriately-named straight roommate Thor (Chris Zylka), hanging out with his lesbian bestie (Haley Bennett), and trying to decide - if he can - whether he digs boys or girls.

Ordinary teen angst soon gives way to more sinister concerns when Smith stumbles upon a monstrous conspiracy within his seemingly idyllic Southern California seaside town.

Kaboom shares key touchstones with Araki’s early films, including scatological and absurd Valley-inflected dialogue, elements of campy gore and Araki’s troupe of arrestingly sexy guys and girls. But, with his sophisticated synthesis of various experiments in tone and cinematography, the accomplished filmmaker has reached a new level of artistic maturity. This is, simply, a must-see!

I can't wait to pick this up! Get it at TLA for $21.99
